Concert Venues And Google 360° Virtual Tours

I was fortunate to have the marketing department at The Rady Shell in San Diego, California write to me and ask for a quote to have the iconic venue photographed for Google and Google Maps in the form of a 360° virtual tour. After I submitted the quote, two weeks later, I was awarded the job.

The main reason they wanted the Google 360° Virtual Tour was to show the different sections of seats and the view to the stage. So, when someone buys a ticket to an event, they will be able to see where they will be sitting in relation to the stage. What a great idea! They also know that it will help increase their local SEO in Google and Google Maps while adding to their visual online presence

Since the venue has two seating arrangements, they actually wanted two different Google 360° Virtual Tours. Both projects took some planning because we wanted to make sure that we can get little to no people in the shots as well as have the sound booth area tent taken away. Being a union company, the people who put the tent up and took it down, needed exact times for the shoots. Basically, I only had an hour and a half to get ninety panoramic images completed.

Right above, you will see the Google 360° Virtual Tour I photographed for The Rady Shell. On the right side, you can see the numbers 1 and 2. If you click on them, you will see the different seat configurations. The biggest difference of seating, will be in the front of the venue.
